Maheshwaritva/Maheshwarism is a spiritual and cultural worldview rooted in the timeless wisdom of Lord Mahesha (Shiva) and upheld by the Maheshwari lineage.
According to the traditional belief of Maheshwari Samaj, which has been going on from generation to generation, In 3133 BC, a wonderful event occurred in which a new society was established by Lord Mahesha (Lord Shiva) and Adishakti Parvati (Goddess Maheshwari) And Lord Mahesha himself had given the newly established society the name "Maheshwari". From then this society became known as Maheshwari Community. In Maheshwari community, this event of establishment of Maheshwari Samaj is known as Maheshwari Samaj Utpatti / Vanshotpatti (After that, the children of Maheshwari parents are 'Maheshwari'). It was not just the establishment of a new society by Lord Mahesha but the establishment of a new culture. Therefore, Maheshwari Samaj considers the establishment of Maheshwari Samaj as the establishment of a new culture, believes to be the beginning/emergence of a new culture, known as Maheshwari culture. The spiritual, cultural, social principles, rules, traditions and ideologie of Maheshwari culture are called "Maheshwaritva". Maheshwari people who lives life, according to the principles, rules, traditions and ideology prescribed/showned by Lord Mahesha, Goddess Maheshwari (Goddess Parvati) and Adi Maheshacharya, that's called Maheshwaritva. In the Maheshwari community, the origin day (foundation day) of Maheshwari community is traditionally celebrated as name of Mahesh Navami as the biggest festival of the Maheshwari Samaj. Therefore, Mahesh Navami is not only the foundation day of Maheshwari Samaj but also the foundation day of Maheshwaritva. Maheshwaritva is called Maheshwarism in English. Both have the same meaning. Both are same, mean the same. One is in English and other is in Hindi. Maheshwarism (माहेश्वरीजम) and Maheshwaritva are words in two different languages, and in summary they both refer to the same thing.
माहेश्वरी समाज की पीढ़ी-दर-पीढ़ी चली आ रही परंपरागत मान्यता के अनुसार, ईसवी सन पूर्व 3133 में एक अद्भुत घटना घटी थी जिसमें भगवान महेश (भगवान शिव) एवं आदिशक्ति पार्वती (देवी महेश्वरी) द्वारा एक नए समाज की स्थापना की गई थी और स्वयं भगवान महेश ने उस नवस्थापित समाज को "माहेश्वरी" नाम दिया था। तबसे यह समाज "माहेश्वरी समाज" के नाम से जाना जाता है। माहेश्वरी समाज में, माहेश्वरी समाज स्थापना की इस घटना को माहेश्वरी समाज उत्पत्ति (वंशोत्पत्ति) के नाम से जाना जाता है (तदोपरांत माहेश्वरी माता-पिता की संतान 'माहेश्वरी' होती हैं, माहेश्वरी कहलाती हैं)। भगवान महेश द्वारा यह केवल एक नए समाज की स्थापना नहीं थी बल्कि एक नए संस्कृति की स्थापना थी। इसीलिए, माहेश्वरी समाज के स्थापना को माहेश्वरी समाज एक नए संस्कृति की स्थापना मानता है, एक नई संस्कृति, जिसे माहेश्वरी संस्कृति के नाम से जाना जाता है की शुरुवात/उदय होना मानता है। माहेश्वरी संस्कृति के आध्यात्मिक, सांस्कृतिक, सामाजिक सिद्धांत, नियम, परंपरा और विचारधारा को ही "माहेश्वरीत्व" कहा जाता है। माहेश्वरी लोग जो भगवान महेश, देवी माहेश्वरी (देवी पार्वती) और आदि महेशाचार्य द्वारा निर्धारित/दिखाए गए सिद्धांतों, नियमों, परंपराओं और विचारधारा के अनुसार जीवन जीते हैं, उसे माहेश्वरीत्व कहा जाता है। माहेश्वरी समाज में, माहेश्वरी समाज के उत्पत्ति दिवस (माहेश्वरी समाज स्थापना दिवस) को परंपरागत रूप से समाज के सबसे बड़े त्योंहार के रूप में महेश नवमी के नाम से मनाया जाता है। इसलिए महेश नवमी का दिन ना सिर्फ माहेश्वरी समाज का स्थापना दिवस है बल्कि माहेश्वरीत्व का भी स्थापना दिवस है। माहेश्वरीत्व को इंग्लिश भाषा में माहेश्वरीजम कहते है। दोनों का अर्थ एक ही है। दोनों एक ही हैं, दोनों का मतलब एक ही है। एक हिंदी में है और दूसरा अंग्रेजी में है। माहेश्वरीत्व और माहेश्वरीजम (Maheshwarism) दो अलग-अलग भाषाओं के शब्द हैं और संक्षेप में वे दोनों एक ही बात को संदर्भित करते हैं।
